5th August, Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir: A Day of Exploitation

Kashmiris worldwide are observing August 5th as Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir. This day marks their protest against India’s illegal actions taken in 2019.

The call for Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir was given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC). They seek to remind the world of the ongoing struggle in Kashmir.

APHC leaders have condemned August 5th as a dark day in Kashmir’s history. They see it as a continuation of India’s colonial and anti-Muslim policies.

This was the second significant attack on Kashmir, following the events of October 27, 1947. Both instances reflect India’s intent to subjugate the Kashmiri people.
