Murder of Merit in IIOJK: Outrage Erupts Over Discrepancies in Police Telecom Exam
January 22, 2025Allegations of widespread discrepancies in the IIOJK Police Telecommunications examination have sparked outrage, with political leaders and citizens demanding urgent action from authorities.
Recent allegations of serious irregularities in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) Police Telecommunications examination, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB), have ignited public fury in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. These accusations have brought attention to potential corruption within the recruitment process and raised concerns over the future of the youth in the region.
Iltija Mufti, a prominent leader from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was among the first to highlight the alleged discrepancies. In a social media post on X, Mufti pointed out what she described as “massive discrepancies” in the results of the telecommunications exam. She criticized the JKSSB for allowing candidates who had previously performed poorly in constable exams to emerge as toppers in the telecommunications exam. Mufti accused the authorities of endangering the future of the region’s youth and failing to act on their earlier promises of transparency and accountability.
Mufti’s post sharply criticized the government, claiming that it had washed its hands of any responsibility for the alleged irregularities. “JKSSB continues jeopardizing the future of J&K’s youth,” she wrote. “Toppers who fared poorly in constable exams are now at the top of the telecommunications exam. The government, which came to power on lofty promises, has conveniently abandoned any accountability.”
The allegations have quickly gained traction, with widespread outrage across social media platforms. Many users are calling for a thorough and impartial investigation into the recruitment process, stressing that if these claims are proven to be true, they could severely damage public trust in the examination system. One user commented that this scandal could deepen the alienation of the youth in IIOJK, who already feel marginalized by the system.
Waheed Para, another PDP leader, echoed Mufti’s concerns and condemned the recruitment irregularities, which he described as part of a larger scam within the JKSSB. Para pointed to shocking revelations that candidates who had scored below 10 marks in previous exams had secured top positions in the telecommunications exam. He criticized this as a direct assault on merit and a serious blow to the credibility of the entire recruitment system.
Para also expressed his disbelief at the way the administration was handling the situation. He alleged that officials implicated in the scam were being shielded, with many being transferred to avoid real accountability. “Heads have to roll,” Para insisted. “This mess goes far beyond JKSSB.”
The allegations have fueled growing demands for a transparent and impartial investigation into the recruitment process. Public frustration is mounting as more people question the integrity of the entire recruitment exam system in IIOJK. This controversy has added to the ongoing debate about governance, transparency, and fairness in the region, further intensifying calls for reforms in the administration and examination procedures.
As the situation continues to unfold, political leaders and citizens alike are calling for action to restore confidence in the recruitment process and ensure justice for those affected.
