Annual Urs of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah Concludes with Message of Unity and Devotion

The annual two-day urs of the revered Sufi saint Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah concluded on 6th July 2025 at the historic Shahdra Sharif shrine, located in Thanamandi, Rajouri district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The event, held every year, drew thousands of devotees from across the region who came to offer prayers and pay homage to the saint.
The shrine, widely respected across religious lines, stands as a living example of religious brotherhood and unity. Devotees from diverse faiths and backgrounds attended the event, turning the occasion into a celebration of communal harmony and spiritual connection. From early morning prayers to final offerings, the atmosphere was one of peace, reflection, and reverence.
Located in the village of Shahdra Sharif, the shrine of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah is not only a spiritual landmark but also a cultural heritage site that reflects the rich history and inclusive spirit of Kashmir. According to the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, the urs concluded on Sunday with the final prayers held on 6th July, marking the end of the spiritual gathering. The Board appreciated the participation of the people and acknowledged the efforts of all stakeholders who ensured a peaceful and orderly observance of the event.
